Soheil Habibi earned his Ph.D. degree in Micro electronics at Keio University in Japan in 1995 and M.Sc. degree in physics of semiconductors at the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim Norway in 1990. Dr. Habibi has been active in the field of MEMS since 1996 and has numerous publications and conference presentations. He has been focusing on MEMS motion sensors for the past 13 year and more specifically on high performance accelerometer and gyros. Currently, he is business development director for Europe at Sensonor Technologies, a leading supplier of MEMS based solutions for the defense, aerospace, energy, automotive and instrumentation markets. His main interests are on inertial navigation systems and thermal imaging solutions based on un-cooled micro bolometers.
